I just had to grab the camera the other day when we were headed to Joy School. You had dressed yourself and your look was so representative of how grown up you're getting to be, and I wanted to remember it forever.
There is so much that I love about your 3-going-on-12 personality, but
I especially love that you pick your own clothes and accessorize fearlessly.
I love that you remembered your princess folder to carry your 5 senses homework back to school.
I love that you know exactly how your hair looks best. For a long time, you insisted on "Big back here, and straight right here" and you would start alternately pulling the hair on top of your head straight up and using a fine tooth comb to get your wet bangs slicked across your forehead.
Now, you're all about the pony tail (not pig tails, "Two looks bad, Mom."), and chunky/flashy ponytail holders (all leftovers that Maddie would never wear).
Finally, I adore that you just know a head band is the perfect finish to any, and all hairstyles.

Katie picks out nice 'outfits' to wear. I wonder if that hair that she combs so nicely doesn't pop right back into curls when it dries. elb
