A Bedtime Story for Katie

Katie: Tell me one about Curious George.

Me: How about one about Princess Emily?

Katie: No.

Me: Ok, how about one about Emily who was a gymnastics star and wore a beautiful purple leotard with white tights to her gymnastics class? And she carried a beautiful pink bag her mom made to carry her ... um ... gymnastics stuff.

One day Emily was outside in her back yard practicing her cartwheels and pretending she was at the Olympics about to win a gold medal. All the sudden her CTR ring flew off her hand and landed in the grass. Emily looked and looked for it, but it is hard to find a green CTR ring in the green grass.

Then Emily had an idea. She thought that she needed some help finding her ring, and thinking that it was a CTR ring, she knew Heavenly Father would help her find it. So she went in her house and went to her room where she had a bed with a flower bedspread on it and a butterfly pillow and a dresser with beautiful treasures on it and a lamp and a music player.

Katie: Oh, I want a music player!

So Emily knelt down at her flower bed and said a prayer telling Heavenly Father that she lost her CTR ring and couldn't find it in the grass, so would He please help her. After she said "Amen," she ran back outside and pretty much just walked right to where her ring was.

She was so happy when she found it and she knew that Heavenly Father helped her, so she went back inside to her beautiful room and knelt down again at her flower bed with the butterfly pillow and said a prayer to tell Heavenly Father thank you. After her prayer she felt really good and warm inside.

(I'll get a picture of gymnastics star Emily when I have access to a color scanner. Sorry!)
