Maddie made the JV soccer team this year.
She played left wing.
Number 14
It was a really special season. Not only did Maddie have a great time with so many friends, but they made it to the state finals at Rio Tinto Stadium in Salt Lake!
Even more special than that, they played with a lot of heart this year for their teammate, Makenzie Lewis who was in an ATV accident on July 4. She spent all of the rest of the summer in the hospital in Salt Lake, but was able to come home and attend a few soccer games at the end of the season.
Yellow became the color to symbolize Makenzie and the miracles we all saw in her recovery. The girls wore yellow beads on their soccer back packs and had special bright yellow warm up jerseys made with Makenzie's number 8 on the back.
We were thrilled to be able to support a family and wonderful and kind as the Lewis's. They taught us much as they shared their experiences of faith and miracles.
That's Makenzie seated at the far end of the bench.

Hey Maddie, your mom's here.
Uh, Mom, I'm sure you can't be down here.
We love this girl and are so grateful for the many experiences and friends she's gained through soccer.
