Maddie, Colin Walker and Jack look for frogs in a little pond in the sandstone.
Katie, Jack, and Mike bring up the rear. Turns out, when Katie knows there is food in the back pack, she is "hundry" and can't hike too fast.
The "big"kids (12 and up) took a route up to the white sandstone and met us at the bowl. (You can see two kids' silhouettes up there.)
The bowl was probably 30 feet deep (and pretty steep, as you can see). No, this is not all the kids we had with us on the hike. There was one family with 8 kids and 2 foster kids, two families with 4 kids, two families with two kids but no husbands, plus some friends that tagged along!
Down around the water and the lower part of the bowl people have carved their names in the soft red sandstone. All of our kids added theirs.
Mike and Kate on the ledge that was the way in and out of the bowl.

Looks like a great time, your kids are getting so big and they are cute as ever!
It looks like all of your kids are good hikers - even Katie with the right motivation!
