Memorial Day with Grandma Eddie

May 25, 2008

Every Memorial Day weekend we go with Grandma Eddie to the cemetery to put flowers on graves and listen to stories about Grandma's relatives.

Above is Ryan at his Great, Great Grandfather's grave. (That's Grandma Eddie's Dad.)

Below are Brooks Sampson, Eddie, and Taylor Sampson.

Tanner, Ryan, and Jeannie at George Brook's grave.

George Brooks (Eddie's Great Grandfather) was a stone mason who was called to the Dixie Mission to help build the temple and Tabernacle. He also built the arch way over the entrance to the first Dixie College building.

Jack and Little Michael water flowers.

Grandpa Doyle is buried at Tonaquint Cemetery. Here's Michael, Luke, and Maddie.

After the cemetery, we went to Grandma's for scones.

Grandma had magic tricks for the kids. Ryan was revealing the trick to me.
