Dear Jack,

Thanks for inviting us to your baseball party.

I loved hearing Coach Searle talk about how you were such a great catcher. He said he never had to teach you anything twice; you just listened and got it.

Then it was really fun to head over to the Road Runners game at Bruce Hurst Field.


You got to hang out with some of the players,

and run out on the field with #5. The announcer even said your name!

That's you, 4th from the left during the Star Spangled Banner. (Is it wrong to take a picture during the national anthem? These are things a mom should know.)

Then Ryan and Maddie competed in the cupcake eating contest.

See? There's Maddie (bottom left) eating her half of the cupcake and Ryan (bottom right, in the red shirt) waiting to finish it off.

And they won! That's $25 at 25 Main, the cupcake store, YUM!

We stayed out very late.

And the Roadrunners pulled out a win in the bottom of the 9th.

That was fun.
