Classic Wonder Mold Delivers On Promise

Utah - Katie Sandberg had no idea what her birthday cake was going to look like when she took the handle of her mother's Sunbeam mixer the morning before her 3rd birthday.

She had seen the Classic Wonder Mold box;she had picked the pink dress . . .then the blue dress . . . then the pick dress again. She had no doubt her mother could work wonders in the kitchen, but she could not imagine her very own "Beautiful Dress Girl cake" actually becoming a reality.

It didn't matter at first that she couldn't bring the picture on the box and the idea of her own birthday cake together in her mind, because, after all, chocolate cake is chocolate cake. And Katie Sandberg is comfortable with chocolate cake.

Once the cake came out of the oven, however, and it looked like a mishapen brown hill of a cake which her mother was not completely confident about, Katie got a little worried. "How is that my cake?" she asked. "Why does it look like that?" she wondered aloud. When no satisfactory answer was forthcoming, she queried, "When do we get to eat it?"

The next day brought icing and her mother's promise that "Today we make your Beautiful Dress girl cake."

Powdered sugar and shortening ensured a "milk free" icing and a taste very close to what you get at your local grocer's bakery.

Wilton's Burgundy Icing Color ensured a dark pink dress sure to catch the eye of Prince Charming or charm the eye of any three year old birthday girl.

Finally, with Williams Sonoma's Mechanical Pastry bag, a little luck, and a whole lot of, "No, that's a Momma job.", the "Beautiful Dress Girl Cake was a reality and once again, the Classic Wonder Mold had delivered on it's promise:

classic wonder for a little girl.
